Bittersweet last day at The Miami Herald

My last day at The Miami Herald was yesterday and I finished up this Tropical Life Section display illustration that published today about spotting your child's natural gifts. I'm so happy with how well it printed (lots of detail!) and it was a lot of fun conceptualizing, drawing by hand, and colorizing with neat brushes in Photoshop.

Leaving Miami is very bittersweet - I am so grateful for all the opportunities I have been given in this city, especially while at The Miami Herald... but I have to say, I'm really excited to be moving up to New York City next week. Wish me luck!
